During the course of counselling, therapists will take notes in order to tailor services, plan treatment, and prevent misunderstanding. The therapist will take shorthand physical notes during session which are then typed up to a secure electronic system immediately after the session. In line with industry standards, your notes are securely disposed of after seven years after your exit from the service.

All information is confidential between yourself and the therapist. However, under certain circumstances, counsellors are required to share relevant information with authorities, such as:
- When a solicitor or court of law requires us to send them your counselling notes
- If you disclose that you intend to harm yourself or others
- If there is suspected child abuse, neglect, or harm.
